Dorothy Uwanikone is a multidisciplinary professional whose career spans law, housing and community development, and cybersecurity across countries. She holds a law degree from Guildhall University (UK), a BSc in Cybersecurity Management & Analytics from Virginia Tech, and an MS in AI Engineering from Quantic School of Business & Technology. After practicing law and serving as a Housing and Community Development Manager with several local councils in London, she transitioned to the United States, building a distinguished career across the private sector as a consultant before joining the U.S. Department of Defense, where she currently leads the Cybersecurity and Technical Division.
A respected diaspora community leader, Dorothy has served as Secretary, Vice
President, and President of the Itsekiri National Association, Washington D.C. CMSA, championing inter-ethnic unity initiatives (Itsekiri, Urhobo, Ijaw, and Isoko) that earned national television coverage. She also led the host region under Ugbajo Itsekiri USA Inc.
that welcomed Ogiame Ikenwoli I, the Olu of Warri, during the first official visit of a first-class Itsekiri monarch to the U.S. capital region. She is an active member of the United Itsekiri Association (UIA) and the Itsekiri National Congress USA Inc.
A founding member of CIPHE, Dorothy remains deeply committed to advancing the SEED vision and the socioeconomic development of Itsekiri communities at home and in the diaspora.
