Our Projects

Our Impact So Far

Turning Diaspora Commitment Into Community Reality

Overview

At CIPHE Foundation (SEED), we measure our success not in intentions, but in outcomes. Every dollar contributed, every book donated, and every piece of equipment shipped represents the collective resolve of Itsekiri professionals across the United States and around the globe who believe that meaningful change is possible and are willing to invest in it. What follows is a record of what we have accomplished together in support of the University of Warri Take-Off Campus initiative in Koko, Delta State.

Flagship Project

University of Warri Take-Off Campus Initiative — Koko, Delta State

The establishment of the UNIWARRI Take-Off Campus in Koko is the flagship project of the SEED initiative, a transformational investment in higher education, infrastructure, and the long-term socioeconomic development of the Itsekiri people. From the earliest stages, CIPHE Foundation members have stepped forward with financial contributions, material donations, and hands-on support to help bring this vision to life. Through donations, sustained activism, and engagement we have achieved the following:

Acquisition of 146 hectares of land at Obitugbo for our main campus
Rebuild and renovation of 4 bungalows and a two-storey building comprising 20 classrooms, offices and laboratories at our Koko takeoff Campus
Established a formal framework for channeling ideas, talents, expertise and fundraising into meaningful actions for progress.
Raised over =N=100,000,000 (One hundred million naira).
Increased our membership from 5 to 76 in Nigeria and Diaspora.

The work continues and we hereby solicit your contribution, both financially and
otherwise.

Scholarship Programs

Notwithstanding our ongoing scholarship program for promising secondary school students, by far our
greatest project is the Proposed University of Warri at Obitugbo near Koko.

The work continues and we hereby solicit your contribution, both financially and
otherwise.

Over $100,000 Raised

CIPHE Foundation (SEED) members have collectively committed over $100,000 in financial contributions
toward the UNIWARRI Take-Off Campus initiative. These funds have supported the critical groundwork
necessary to advance the project from vision to reality, covering early-stage development needs and
demonstrating to institutional partners and government stakeholders the resolve and capacity of the
Itsekiri diaspora to deliver.

Equipping the Technology Suite

Recognizing that a modern university demands modern tools, SEED members organized and executed a
dedicated computer drive to equip the campus Technology Suite. Donated computers and related
equipment have been sourced and delivered to ensure that students and faculty have access to the
digital resources essential for 21st-century learning, academic administration, research and development.

Building the Campus Library

A university without a well-stocked library is incomplete. SEED members launched a targeted books drive
to lay the foundation for the campus library, collecting and donating academic textbooks, reference
materials, and educational resources across a range of disciplines. This effort ensures that from day one,
students at the UNIWARRI Take-Off Campus will have access to useful materials that support learning,
research, and excellence.

Administrative & Chancellor’s Office Buildings

SEED members donated office furniture to support the setup of the campus administrative offices and the
Chancellor’s Office building. These contributions helped transform empty structures into functional,
professional working environments, enabling the university’s leadership and administrative teams to
operate effectively as the campus continues to grow and develop.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

These achievements are more than the sum of their parts. Each contribution, financial or material, sends a clear
and powerful signal to the Government and regulatory bodies that the Itsekiri diaspora is not waiting on the
sidelines. We are invested, organized, and mission focused.
Our early commitments have helped build institutional credibility, strengthen strategic partnerships, and create the
momentum necessary to attract further investment from public and private sources. The impact of what we have
done extends far beyond the items donated or the dollars raised, it has established SEED as a serious, capable,
and trusted partner in the development of Koko and the Itsekiri homeland.
